Suggested Uses: Why get in touch with the cycle of the moon? For me, the moon is an ever-present reminder of my larger Sisterhood, and of the cyclical nature we all share. Some religions give the moon goddess-status but when I look up, often by chance, the moon is a reminder that I am not alone. She reminds me that somewhere in the world some other woman who shares my womanly view on life may also be looking up to the sky and through the moon we are connected. 1. Monthly retreats: Use the night of the full moon as an opportunity to retreat with yourself (this works for the dark of the moon, too.) Meditate on the Native American names for the monthly moons OR 2. Give thanks for all the fullness in your life. Ask prayerfully for that which you would like to bring into your life in the upcoming month, or alternately as the moon grows smaller what you would like to have taken away. Remember to leave room to listen for guidance. Close with something sweet, like a bit of favorite chocolate perhaps.
