Story card:
The acorn seems to whisper “ i wish to grow...” What seeds are you planting in your life? In your soul? Once a month take these beads out to Nature (or even to your favorite tree in the park) and quietly listen for the answer to the question of what wants to grow in you.

Suggested Uses:
These beads, as the story card says, are intended for use in the spiritual practice of retreating once a month. There are two approaches I like to take:

1.When you spend time out in nature listen for guidance and see what comes. I like to ask “What’s the next best step?” Once I feel in my heart that I have my answer I try to boil it down to one word that I will remember and recite each time I touch the stone of that month’s retreat. Remember – only one or two words per month – it gets harder to remember them all after 7 or 8 months! And you will want to remember all the growth and progress you've made; part of the strength of this set is in it's ability to hold all the positive experiences.

2. Choose the word that represents what you’d like to focus on in the upcoming month. Spend your time in nature contemplating that concept and the actions that will support it. Spiritual growth is always more sure when you're clear about the direction from the start!
